Bold Hat’s Phil Megenhardt inducted into WFEA Hall of Fame

SEATTLE – President and Creative Director of Bold Hat Productions, Phil Megenhardt, was inducted in the  Washington Festival and Events Association (WFEA) Hall of Fame at the organization’s annual WFEA Awards Dinner & Auction. He also was named the Event Organizer of the Year for 2024 during the gala. Phil founded Bold Hat Productions in 1997 with a vision to celebrate community through vibrant events. Prioritizing client goals, he brings creativity and expertise to ensure every event unfolds smoothly and memorably. Over the years, Phil has produced large-scale festivals, corporate and municipal gatherings, and even partnered with the Qatar Olympic Committee for international events. With a background in sales and marketing, Phil’s journey into community events began with Plant sales at Seattle Tilth, the Fremont Public Association (originators of the Fremont Fair), and the Pike Place Market Foundation. He launched the Fremont Oktoberfest and Kirkland Uncorked, and over the years  Bold Hat events have grown to attract 100,000 annual visitors. Phil currently serves on the WFEA and the Fremont Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and is a Commissioner on the City of Kirkland Tourism Board. During the COVID-19 shutdown, he volunteered hundreds of hours at clinics and on committees to support the safe restart of events.

Additionally, Bold Hat Productions was recognized for outstanding marketing through the Pacific Northwest Summit Awards, having received awards for Best Website (Fremont Oktoberfest) and Best Event Program (Fremont Fair).
